I think they officially say 1986-2005, but the effects of it's wide spread use really go from 1995-2005.

Fixed that for you. There is no argument for Piazza not being in the HoF.

I wonder how many refusing to vote for Bonds will decline any writing lifetime achievement awards someone wants to give them.

Hm so basically when Mark McGwire was a rookie.

I'd actually bump it up to 1988 but that's just semantics.

I would say he did fairly well against everyone and not just NY, was never a home run hitter but finished his career with a .312 batting average and was a doubles machine. I know he will struggle to get in for one reason or another but I wouldnt say he will never get in.

If any DH will ever get into the HoF, it should be Edgar. That's counting Frank Thomas as a First Baseman. And I do believe Edgar should be a Hall of Famer.

Lol at 5 people submitting blank ballots. They should be kicked out of the Writer's Association.

EDIT:

Found this on Reddit, thought it applied:

"@LopezOnSports: Bidge will get in, but not now. Old school bball writers never should criticize players' egos when they show this kind of pompous arrogance."

From John Lopez, who works on the radio in Houston and has a vote.

Edit 2:

One more thing. Roger Clemens speaks (sort of)
