Here is the rule set, Im thinking the first deadline will be Friday at noon, and we will do a super slow weekend clock.
Might be some minor tweeks before we started... I wrote these rules up 6 months ago :)

Feel free to IM me, im claphamsa (big shock) on AIM yahoo and Gmail.



RULES

We will use a 23 hour system with a noon EST deadline. For 22 hours the group will deliberate over who to lynch, and then for the next 1 hour the night phase will run and the dogs and other people with night actions will decide what to do. SINCE YOU ONLY GET 1 hour ITS IMPORTANT TO USE CONDIDTIONALS IF YOU WONT BE AROUND!

Mafia is a game of lying, deceit, and mauling. Especially mauling.

Each day you will vote for one person to lynch. The player who receives the most votes will be killed. In this game, you may NOT choose to vote for "no lynch" instead of someone specifically.

Each night the dogs will confer and submit one player they want to attack, and which dog will be committing the assault.

Undetermined number of cats and dogs to start the game.
Editing posts is forbidden.
There will be no quoting of of PM's received from the game director.
There will be no discussion of the game anywhere other than this thread.
PM's between dogs are allowed whenever. You may PM me at anytime for questions, or during the night phase with night actions. PM's between anyone else are forbidden.

VOTING

Votes for a player should be submitted in bold, for example:

You may switch your vote with the following format:

Vote No Lynch

ROLES

Note that not all roles may be in the game.

Light Auras

Cat - You are a regular cat, you have no powers other than your vote in the group council. You win when the evil of the group is gone.

<st1:state w:st="on"><st1>Maine</st1></st1:state>Coon – You are a very large and strong cat, each night you may choose to protect one of them (including yourself), and they will be safe from dog Attack. You may not choose the same person two nights in a row. You win when the dogs are dead.

The Siamese - You were raised by an isolated, secretive group of druids who have taught you to read people's auras. Each night you may scan anybody and you will be told if their aura is dark or light. You win when the dogs are gone.

The Persian - You think you were raised by an isolated, secretive group of druids when in fact you are merely a dumb cat. Each night you may scan anybody and you will be always be told that their aura is either dark or light, randomly determined by the GM at the beginning of the game. When you die you will be revealed as The Siamese. You win when the dogs are gone.

The show cat – You had a long career as a show cat and have won multiple blue ribbons, and will try your best to hide this fact from the Dogs and even the greedy kittens that surround you. However, because of your wealth, you can bribe the council to change a lynch decision from one person to another. You may only use this ability once. You win when the dogs are dead.

<st1><st1:state w:st="on">Chihuahua</st1:state></st1> – You are a dog, but no one can tell. You win when the dogs win, but your aura will show up light.

Dark Auras

Dog - You are a bloodthirsty, dog, intent on eating all the cats. Each night you will confer with the other Dogs and pick one cat to eat. You win when you achieve an even ratio with the kittens.

Leader of the pack - You are the leader of the dogs, if you are caught, you can chose to take any one other player with you.

Stray- You are a kitten, but after years of life on the streets you have seen enough to turn your fur white, and your aura dark. You may chose to follow anyone any night, and you will know what they are doing.<o></o>

The Lolcat is a wildcard, you know nothing of them, their powers. The lolcat might not even know…..

Had a very nasty series of headaches last night, the most intense I have ever felt (to the point of hoping for migraines to relieve the pain) so I'm working from home today and trying to get to the doctor's office. Actually, Hoops is rarely a wolf and almost always an early seer scan. As a result, you don't have to vote for me to get me out of games early when I am a wolf. I get the "grudge" vote, but it isn't a good one this game, or during Day 1 in general for the reason listed above.

Day ones are tough to discern between which votes are truly random day 1 votes and which are purposeful votes disguised as random votes. The one thing we know is that it is pretty difficult to have someone unvote, and then revote randomly.. there has to be some purpose for it. We've actually had quite alot more unvotes then I usually recall on a day 1.

Alot of the moves I can see some reason behind, but the two I don't genuinely understand if I know the reason for their votes are both Eaglefan and Jeheinz. Since both of them are voting for the same person, I'll go the opposite direction and break the tie.

Was trying for an inside the park homer, and it was a close play at the plate, and I ended up sliding head first (in shorts) for the plate. Ended up tearing off skin all up and down my right leg. (imagine a huge strawberry, that is what my right leg now looks like).. But think I'd take that over a broken thumb anytime because I can still play, it only hurts for things to touch it (or stupid things like when the wind blows and hits it)
