Quote:
Celebrating the most intense and long standing international test cricket rivalry, the game launches in time for the unique double header Ashes Series that takes place in England and then a few months later in Australia.

Currently in development at Melbourne-based cricket specialists Trickstar Games, promises the most authentic cricket experience to date and boasts exclusive licenses from both The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Cricket Australia (CA).

Other game modes will reflect all the nuances of the international game across its many formats whilst truly capturing the passion and excitement of live matches. National rivalries, venues and player personalities are perfectly captured in the most advanced simulation of the sport yet, as participants fight for the pride of their nation in either solo play or with up to three friends in local multiplayer matches or take on the world online.

Platform: Xbox 360 / PS3 / PC / Wii U

Cricket is a tough game to bring to a console, especially in a Test Match format. The slow pace & length of matches make it appeal to die hard fans of the sport only. These limitations are often further accentuated by the repetiveness of elements such as cut scenes & commentary that makes the game stale fast.
I've played Cricket games on & off since the 80's & although they may look a little better than they did they haven't advanced much in terms of depth, realism or long term appeal. The fact only 2 licensed teams appear in the game doesn't help much either.

I am excited for this game. There are two cricket games coming out this year, the other is by Big Ant. Does Operationsports need someone to review this game for the site?

Cricket.Heh. I've tried to play one of these games before without knowing nathan about the sport - I gave up. Lol. Tried reading up on it while playing. Interesting sport. I actually have a special edition Polo shirt with a large cricket player emblem instead of the usual polo player....but...who...cares...
