I was thinking of the NFC symbol as well until I saw the green stripe going through it. I may be in over my head, but this is what I think:

1. The team may be an imitation of the Seahawks

2. The "N" may be the logo of that team.

3. The camera is in first person as you are next in line to run onto the field.

It looks like a first person view from a game. On the edges of the screen it looks like a facemask from inside a helmet.

It looks like Matt Hasselbeck coming out of the tunnel after being introduced. The thing at the bottom looks like the Superbowl symbol.

the "bulging" edges that you think is the inside of a helmet is just the edges of the tunnel taken with a wide-angle lens.

My first instinct was exactly what you said, coming out of the tunnel shot thru a wide angle lens. So I can't argue that point either.

He said they miss it, and aren't announcing anything. Same thing they've said for the last 2 years. There still no reason at all to expect a football game from 2k.

No, this statement is different for the simple fact that he stated that there was no announcement "right now". Again, nobody is saying that there is a game in works, but no one has said there's not one in the works. No one has said they're expecting a game, but there's no reason for people to not hope that a game is made. Maybe you're satisfied with Madden, but most people aren't, and maybe that's why people are wishing and hoping. Nothing wrong with dreaming.
