if you 're a sports gamer, you should already have a memory card and xchange.

I've had a transfer kit and memory card for well over 6 months for games such as NCAA Football, College Hoops, etc. The transfer kit and memory card are useful for many different games and I don't think it is fair to attribute to their cost to any one game as I get a great deal of enjoyment from them in multiple games.

I have no interest in using the game to recreate the NFL, so I don't need those things. If it allows it, I might create a few original teams, but otherwise I'll just play the game as is. Logos, names, and numbers don't make a game fun.

That is money well spent. You end up using it year after year and for multiple games for most of us. I view it as essential for sports gamers.

That's why you have to love the way the PS3 save transfer work. Easy and cheap!

Uh...the lack of a need for a transfer kit for PS3 is about the only thing you can say is "cheap" about the system. Heck, you shelled out $200 more than for an XBOX 360..the LEAST the thing better do is transfer files... seriously.

As for the person who posted about the named rosters only being used for single player.... that's correct IF you are referring to NCAA Football..which, in EA's typical laziness, does not display the names during online games. This is not a 360 thing, and current gen NCAA didn't have this problem. It was a case of EA laziness in programming. As far as I know, NCAA HOOPS 2K7 shows the named players online (I'm not a college hoops player though.)

But I assure you- IF the names aren't showing online, its because of lazy developers. This challenge was solved LAST gen. If I know 2K Sports, they'll make darn sure edited rosters display edits on the client side during online games.
