i've mess with natural motion before depending on the rating of the player it would determine if a player can break tackles or not, height and weight also have alot to do with it, a 5'9 210 player would break less tackles then a 6'9 310 player

So Frank Gore would break less tackles than an offensive lineman? I would think he would fall forward more, or MAYBE bull some one over more easily, but not break tackles.
Gore breaks more tackles than backs that have 20 pounds more than him

It would take more than just the weight of a player, they could set it up with body types and where the weight is at. Maurice Drew is short, but has huge legs so they could program that into the game and the physics would take over.

One question I have is if they'll be using the RARE engine that they have in the Table Tennis game. Anyone know if that's what they'll be using?

A physics engine isn't just about weight vs weight, perhaps the best part is balance, angles, force - the reason players like Bob Sanders can lay the smack down on bigger opponents. The perfect engine would mimic the real world exactly in this manner. The problem then becomes expanding the possible control the gamer has. A mere analog control pad wouldn't give such an engine true justice, but that's for the future, and you'd have to have the engine in place before you started worrying about that anyway. Stuff like footing, balance etc would probably be controlled more by the game itself than the gamer right now, but even that is 1000% better than our current primitive engines.

an offensive lineman isn't going to have enough momemtum im saying if you created a 6'8 310 guy with speed rating 98 he's going to break alot of tackles more then a smaller guy with the same ratings
