The reason why Ortiz said he was more excited for Techmo than 2K8 is simply because he does not want to shed light on a product he knows will call them out.

It's safe to call Techmo something to look forward to because it's not a direct threat in holding the Madden team accountable.

Madden will be outselling all football games for a long time. That's a given, but this Summer there will be a game that will do things that we haven't seen in football gaming. That will in turn cause some to look at Madden and ask, "why aren't you guys doing that?"

All-Pro will never be competition in terms of sales, but will be on par with anything Madden has done on next-gen and may raise a few bars along the way.

As much as I'm against his smug demeanor, that's easily replied to:

"I didn't buy the licenses; EA, the company I work for did. We just take advantage of all resources we have available to us the best we can."

And anyone in their right mind wouldn't phrase something like that. Why risk exclusive looks and content in the future just to attack the guy?

based on what i have heard, i will by both games. because i love 2k, but i love my Bills!!!

Will 2K treat APF like EA treated Command&Conquer and release a demo weeks before release?

If that's a possibility would it be safe to expect a demo of APF on XBL later this month?

They really should release a demo. I remember when they announced that there was going to be a demo of nfl2k4 in OXM and people went crazy. I used to play that thing like it was the full game.
