Yeah that's what I'm thinking, will there even be a 2K9? I just hope 2K does give us downloadable legends.

I thought I heard they were planning to be on a 2 year cycle, so we wouldn't see another until 2k10, but not sure how reliable that is.

I would pay for DLC but it would be really hard for 2K to implement it since online and custom teams are such a big part of the game. How do you play a pick up game online if yoiu don't have DLC and the other guy does? The only solution other than giving it away free is to push it as a manditory update but only allow those who pay for it to use the new legends on their roster. That way everyone would have the players so you would be cool whoever you played online - but it would be up to individuals if they wanted to pay to have the players on their team.

They could set it up to where you can play against all legends but you can only them to your team if you have purchased the download(s). For example you might buy Michael Irvin and add him to your team. When we play each other online I'll be playing against your Irvin but since I didn't buy the download I can't add him to my team.

What he said. I've been thinking and saying the same things. This would let 2k "freshen up" the game as you'd have to go back and play if they added a favorite player or two, right?

Costs would not be much of an issue, as they could charge for the download, based on how much it cost to get the players. Throw in a few more created stadiums too. Hey, if Rainbow Six Vegas can go $10 for five maps and two play modes? Then 2K should be able to sell us a pack of 12 new Legends and 2 new stadiums for $5. Right?

Only the stadiums would be too big to download quickly between those that had the DL and those that don't. Players would be easy and quick.

Only if 2K decided to do 2K9, instead of a game every TWO years as Anthony Chau talked about, would they be better served to save the new players and stadiums for that game and not have DL content.

BTW, not knowing how many logos are in the game? They could add a pack of new logos too.

Now, no one wants to see 2K Sports nickel-and-dime us to death, but the right DL content at a fair price (I'm looking at YOU horse armor!) would really add to the game.
