Can you SEE the player RATINGS?

I was wondering how the game handles attributes, I saw a few posts that displays many different symbols for some of the Legends players but how else can you see there distinct attributes or ratings on paper? Some legends only have 1 or 2 symbols next to their name...is there any other way to see there other skills or abilities?

An how does the game handle USER and CPU generated player attributes and ratings??

I was thinking on how the game handles player ratings internally and maybe it's something alone the lines of this (overall rating):

Gold: 90's
Silver: 80's
Bronze: 70's

Generated: 60's

Whenever a legend has a special ability (Battering Ram for instance) his break tackle attribute is increased from a preset baseline.

On another topic, I actually like not being able to see player's specific ratings. It makes the game feel a little more dynamic for some reason.

Even so, it would be nice if I could choose and build my team as I see fit among the entire pool of Generic players. I really hate the randomness of their assignments. I built the Las Vegas Onslaught (XFL Outlaws) and they had a kickbutt crew. I used all eleven Legend slots on Defense, but the Generic Offense was still VERY capable. One problem. I forgot to SAVE before turning off my Xbox 360. DOH! So I have created them again, but that special mix of Generic talent on Offense is just gone. The Defense still pummels opposing Offenses into submission, but I no longer have that solid O-line or the steady QB any longer. If I could just hire and fire the Generics based upon position and keep my own notes on who fits best in my scheme I would be much happier. The way it is now you pays your money you takes your chances.

If there weren't ratings, there would only be 2 different speeds (speed burner/not speed burner) and most bronze QBs would be the exact same as generics.

Without any player ratings whatsoever....How can you tell the subtle differences between some players. Especially generic players? For example, lets say some players dont have any special abilities. Is there any type of grading system or indicator to give you an idea on someone's strengths...and even more importantly, their WEAKNESSES ( since you dont have symbols for these)

You really just have to play w/ them and see what works and what doesn't. It also goes into how you pick your generics ie; run/pass/balanced blocking o-line.

No ****, but you dont know what they are though. Thats what i was getting at.
