Anyone feeling like I did with 2k5?

Just curious...

This game is starting to feel a lot like 2k5. At first it's awesome - it's just got so much to it... Then the more I play, the more the little things start to show themselves... As I continue to play - some of those little things become rather big - and before I know it, the flaws are just too much to really be able to have fun with it anymore.

I really loved the game at first - but the more I play it, the less I want to play it... Like with 2k5 - the issue is mostly the AI - there are just some really big flaws that really hurt the gameplay - especially on the defensive side.

Nope, I'm still enjoying it thoroughly.

I guess I'm weird. I like the way 2K5 feels a bit better. :/

I'm the opposite as the OP. The more I play it, I do start to see little things, but the little things are great. Like my qb slipping in the rain, how different qb's handle PA, how my sidelines catch a player running out of bounds, how the long snaps are never always perfect.

I love this game!

I am having the oppisite happen... the more I play and truelly get a feel the better the game becomes. This game truely rewards good playcalling. Knowing your weaknesses and the strengths of your opponent is really important.

Re: Anyone feeling like I did with 2k5?

I haven't played 2K5 in a while, but I feel APF is superior - even without it franchise. I think the on the field play is that good. The problem I had w/2K5 was primarily the control. While APF's isn't quite as tight as I'd like, it makes playing the game far more enjoyable. I've had everything from shootouts to great defensive games online. While a full featured franchise mode would liven up the offline game, I thoroughly enjoy playing/watching exhibition games w/my created teams. I play this game way too much; really hoping they tweak it in the manner NBA2k7 and MLB2K7 were tweaked.

I also love that playcalling and execution mean so much in the game. I've had tons of enjoyable online games against high ranked guys and can proudly say there's only been maybe twice where I wasn't in the game, or that it wasn't close. Keeping a level head and playing smart seems to always keep me in games, and my teams aren't "tweaked" for online play (heavy offense, heavy defense, stop so-and-so, etc.)

Re: Anyone feeling like I did with 2k5?

I supposed I'm just too picky. The defense is my main problem - the AI makes such horrible decisions game in and game out that it just kills it for me.
