I'm not really satisfied with it.Creating a team is frustrating with all the customization limits put on me.Not feeling these generic players but its cool to play with and against the ole greats. Love hearing dan and peter commenting on lambert and woodson.I'm an old 2k football fan but VC is gonna have to open this game up(customization) next time.I'll give apf a fair shot, since i'm so frustrated with all the glitches in madden.Anyway thats my 2 cents PEACE

The beauty of this game is in multiplayer. The game plays great head to head with a good opponent.

There were sum things I didn't like at first. Mostly was my frustration with the passing game. Once I got that down. I enjoyed game alot more. While this game is not perfect. It is still alot of fun. I like to create different teams(although I usually keep the same uniforms). I created a CAP Chise and have had alot of fun with that. Hopefully you'll enjoy the game more.

You mean the inability to change the CPU teams? Or the logo for your team?

Beyond those items, I feel the customizing options are pretty good.

No, I have to agree with the OP (original poster) that APF 2K8 has WAY TOO many limits on your custom options. For example:

You can only create eight teams, and can't choose from TWO different profiles (so I don't get to take my team over to a friends home to play).
Very few faces and hair options for created players.
Only 20 created players.
No selecting of generic players.
Not being able to tweak the CPU teams unis, logos and names.

Now, the basis of a really solid, and customizable football game is there and I hope we see it perfected with an APF 2K9 game.

If you play APF 2K8 online, then it really shines, but is very lacking offline.

OK, I gotcha....I was just thinking of the uniform editor. I agree with everything you said.

I second that (or third), VCDolphin and Cardot. Hopefully 2K9 will open 'er up a little more.

Re: I Finally Bought APF 2k8 and

I played a few games last night with my created steelers. The graphics and animations are very good but the game is a little too slow for me.Love the playbooks though.I was pissed I couldn't match my steelers against the cowboys team I created. But I'll play with apf for a while, just to see if I can get some kind of enjoyment out of this game
