Interesting. The main thing that stands out to me is the interview with them earlier in the year where their official list of games for 2008 was given and APF was not in it.

I will buy 2K9 just based on how good 2K8 was. Some of you guys make me laugh. I hope that 2K9 is able to satisfy some of you guys that want franchise mode, and full customization. Something tells me that no matter what 2k9 offers, people will not be satisfied. All I wanted was good gameplay, and they gave me very good gameplay. Now all I really want is great gameplay, and everything else is frosting on the cake.

You guys need to realize that 2K9 is not operating on the same budget that Madden is. I am sure that there are things that they want to put in the game, but they simply can't afford to. EA should be able to produce a game that blows away any competition since they have the NFL at their disposal, but they have not.

2K is still swinging after being hit with a Mike Tyson uppercut last week (EA license deal). For that alone I respect 2k, and will purchase 2k9. They could have gave up and who could blame them. Instead they will stand toe to toe with the EA juggernaut and keep swinging. Come on guys, you have to respect that.

Best news I have seen on the subject, and im thinking we are getting 2k9.

I don't see it empty. Things always change. I'm just saying do not get your hopes up because you just might get disappointed.
