Re: New Abilities

I like the idea of having WR's with Physical playing styles, boxing out on catches, pushing off on routes, just a little more physical in their play you know?

Bump buster and tough in the middle characterize this a little bit.

Possession Receiver does this a bit as well, as guys who run good short routes get good body positioning and box out well on curls. Herman Moore is a master at this, especially with his size.

Still, there are some guys that really fight for the ball and some who are total pansies when it's in the air, and I'm not sure it's tied directly to any ability. For example, Belitnekoff will go after a bad ball, but Lofton will just watch it go. Or Belitnekoff will go up strong for the ball and hang on and Lofton will look like a wilted flower when he gets hit.

This is true... Lofton put up a white flag anytime Lott was near! Actually Herman did this once too it was him verse Lott for a ball and Herman "Pretended" to pull his Hammy...He returned later in the game so it was fake for sure!

Re: New Abilities

I was thinking about this today, and I believe Coverage needs to be further specified. For example, I've noted that CBs who have the ability are good at zone and man, and LBs who have the ability are maybe a little better at zone but not necessarily good or great in man. There should be some kind of ability for good man guys and something else for good zone guys. After all, that's one of the major differentiations in corner types.

Re: New Abilities

After watching some Barry Sanders highlights, I want something for behind the LOS for running backs like the QB evade.

Theyre incredibly ineffective behind the LOS, and the other RB abilities (shoulder charge, stiff arm, stop on a dime, etc...) dont work at all.
