Great job cheezhead. Just an update on the price. Some sites and locations will give you a discount for pre-ordering Backbreaker. Amazon has cut the price to $44:99.

Great deal considering how much the game has to offer.

About one month until release!
I pre-ordered mine already. I'm very excited for this game.

Re: Backbreaker Info Thread

I have never actually understood how you can prevent people from using names. I understand copyrighting the players names and likenesses but I still dont understand how does one enforce such a thing.

I can you legally prove that Joe Smith is your copyrighted Joe Smith. Even if he is wearing a football jersey. To think about the sheer amount of very common names that are out there how can you possible ever prove such a thing.

BUT I remember them saying that this is only for online play right? You can have whatever names you want for offline play its just when you take them online they must be changed.

I believe you are right, that you can do whatever you want offline...because no one else is seeing them but you and you aren't sharing them with anyone.
(not entirely sure, but that sounds right lol)

Re: Backbreaker Info Thread

The user can create any team and any player that he wants offline. Online, The user has to use variations like for example.

Offline, I create the San Francisco 49ers. My RB is Frank Gore.

Online, I create the S.F. 49ers. My RB is F.Gore

Just a slight variation and probably easier when it comes to full team editing. Especially since the user can create 32 custom teams.

I am not that big of an online player. So I will enjoy creating NFL, UFL, CFL, XFL and USFL leagues and playing two different franchise modes with them. In Backbreaker, You can create a full league of teams and use any one or all of them during multiple season mode or road to backbreaker.
