I really am glad you and others enjoy this game but to say people gave up because it was too hard for them is completely ignorant.

A lot of people gave up because even though they delivered exactly what they said they were going to, that vision didn't fit their desires. In most cases, it had nothing to do with the difficulty of the game.

Re: Backbreaker = Failure??

I remember Jaybee predicting 1 million sales for this game. Honestly, I don't see how it can be spun in any way to portray this release as a success. People rely on the possibilities. If we judge Backbreaker by what it is and not by what it could be, there's a heck of a lot to be desired.

I still get some good play out of it and I'm not selling my copy. But, if the sales aren't there, and so low to were they can't even risk making a BB2, then it's a failure. But either way, I think it made some type of technological impact on sports gaming.

Natural Motion, we have EA on line 1.

All the complaints I have seen were based around the difficulty of the game and people not being able to adjust.

That's no reason to call the game a failure. I'm sure it was expected that this game would not sell well. Fortunately the team that made it was small and they didn't waste a lot of money on marketing. I expect to see a BB2 and thankfully a patch for BB1 is on the way meaning the team has not given up

Re: Backbreaker = Failure??

I would not consider it a failure because it is a new game with a very weak economy. Consumer spending is higher from the awful levels during the recession in large part because more people are not paying their mortgage. The economy is in a 10 to 20 year depression and sales expectations must be lower.
