Giants- 8
Cubs- 9

I don't feel like posting a box score because I am just so sick right now. Let's just say Brian Wilson had another bad outing.

BRION WILSON TRADED TO RAYS

Closer Brian Wilson lands in Tampa Bay after the trade

San Francisco- Well after all the trade talk over the past week it came down to the Cardinal and Rays. After the Cubs saw Wilson in their short series against the Giants, they wanted no part of the former all-star closer. What clinched the deal for Giants GM Brian Sabean was the inclusion of Rays right hander Andy Sonnanstine. The Cardinals refused to add any more to the deal so Brian gladly accepted the deal of Andy Sonnanstine, Jake Mcgee, and Anthony Suarez for Wilson. Look for Sonnanstine to take th number 5 spot in the rotation as Jimmy Barthmaier has been sent to AAA after an abysmal start against the Cubs. Also look fo Sergio Romo to take the closer spot as he has been dominate this year.

Brian Sabean also stated that he is not done with trading this year by a long shot. The only thing he told us was to wait for June 15th. Whatever that means...

Sergio Romo gets first career save as Giants break 7 game losing streak

Rockies Seth Smith slides into home in the early innings
Giants- 5
Rockies- 4
W- Tim Lincecum 2-2
L- Jason Marquis 1-4

Denver- Well after the Giants got rid of the bad taste in their mouth be expending of Brian Wilson, they also got rid of the bad taste of a 7 game losing streak. The Giants won 5-4 on the hands of Tim Lincecum. Although Lincecum couldn't strike many batters out, h was able to finesse them into 6 innings of 2 run ball. From there on out the bullpen was able to hold it down for the most part. Alex Hinshaw made his first apperance and promptly served up a homer on his first pitch of the season. Sergio Romo then came in to try for his first save as the new closer of the Giants. Romo may have given up a homer to make the score 5-4, but other than that he looked dominant as usual, striking out 2 of the batters he faced in the inning. Bengie Molina, and Travis Ishikawa also had solo homers in the game.

Giants bullpen loses game in 8th

Randy Winn gets caught in a double play

Giants- 4
Rockies- 6
W- Alan Embree 2-2
L- Jeremy Affeldt 0-2
S- Houston Street 9

Denver- This game started well for the Giants as they took a 2-0 lead early on after a Matt Cain double in the 2nd. But Cain was matched the entire game by Ubaldo Jimenez as the game went from 2-2, to 3-2, to 3-3 into the 8th when both starters were taken out. It was then that the hinges fell of the Giants train. Jeremy Affeldt came in and just total lost command of all of his pitches and served up 3 runs. The next inning Alex Hinshaw can in for his 2nd apperance after being smacked around yesterday. Hinshaw got hit hard by a lead-off tripl, but by some miracle was able to throw him out when coming home on a wild pitch. Hinshaw has had terrible control andI wouldn't be surprised to see him in AAA next week. A rather odd play happened in the 8th as the Giants had 1st and 2nd with no outs and bengie Molina at the plate. Bengie hit a routine fly ball to center but Ryan Spilborghsdidn't move until the last second in which he made a diving try. The ball fell and mass confusion was had onn the basepaths. The play ened with Reteria scoring, Rowand thrown out at third, and Molina sliding into second. Rockies brought in Houston Street to close it out in the 9th in which he shut the door for his 9th save.
