Rangers claim first victory in Extra Inning Fashion!!

Texas struggled in the beginning, Tallet just came out throwing strikes and was making good pitches. Harden had already surrender two early runs but later got things rollin along. Vlad is proving that he's definitely not too old and already has 4 RBIs in two games. He hit a crucial double in the 6th inning that gave the Rangers momentum to tie the game at 3, he even scored the game tieing run as well...

Joaquin Arias played a big part and is proving he is deserving of sharing time at 2B with Kinsler out...He was 1-1 with a 2B and scored the winning run on an Elvis Andrus 2 out RBI single to the right side, just under the glove of Aaron Hill. Texas will send out former setup man and closer CJ Wilson as he is opposite of Ricky Romero.

Rangers Win in Extras...Again
Led by a strong performance by former closer, CJ Wilson who pitched 5.1 IP gave up 6 hits while allowing just 2 runs while striking out 4. Ryan Garko hit his 1st HR of the year for Texas also. The team also drew a season high 3 walks and a season low 5 Ks.

Rangers Win 2nd Straight, Lewis is Back
For spending a couple years in Japan, Colby Lewis came back with real good stuff. He went 6+ while scattering 7 hits and not allowing an earned run. "I felt good out there. My fastball has lost some velocity, but I feel with good control, you don't need to throw 95," said Lewis. The Texas bullpen went 2.1 innings and only giving up 1 hit. Frank Francisco did get in a little bit of trouble, with the game tying runner on 3rd but he struck out Pinch Hitter Eric Byrnes looking to end the game...Josh Hamiltons bad performance at the plate continues, he was held hitless but is making better contact. "I'm doing everything I normally do, it's just a matter of time before I break out of this slump," spoke Hamilton to reporters after the win.

Offense Comes Out Swinging
Well Josh was right, his swing would come back. He sure picked a great pitcher to do it against. Hamilton finished the game going 4/4 scoring 4 runs, while hitting 3 HRs and driving in a season high 5 runs. However, a big player in the lineup was backup OF David Murphy, who was giving Julio Borbon the day off...He hit a huge 3-run HR off Felix Hernandez when the score was 4-3 in favor of the Rangers. Rangers Ace Scott Feldman (0-1, 9.00 ERA) will face off against Ian Snell (1-0, 1.13 ERA) in the series finale before heading to Cleveland for the start of an 11 day roadtrip.

Feldman leads Rangers to 5th Straight Victory

It didn't take Feldman long to get back into the swing of things. Also pitching with an early lead certainly didn't hurt him. "I felt really good out there today, my arm still isn't fully warmed up all the way but its getting close," said Feldman after the game. Nelson Cruz had a good game going 2-4 with a couple batted in. Texas will now travel to Cleveland, New York & Boston for a tough road trip.
