The manager must think that I have a rubber arm or something as I am summoned from the bullpen for the third straight game. I am starting the bottom of the 5th with the score 3-2, Drillers. I allow only a single in my two innings before being pinched hit for in the top of the 7th. The Drillers won this game too, to sweep the series, 5-3.

We are back home and I am summoned in from the bullpen in the top of the 6th with two outs after the starter allowed a home run to let the Midland Rockhounds to tie the game, 3-3. I allow only two hits and we got a walk-off hit to win the game in the bottom of the 9th. My first official win as a pro!

I haven't been called up for a few days now and the goal period ends. The manager told me that I did a good job and successfully completed all three of the goals. I was now given four goals to meet and was given two weeks to achieve them.

1) Increase reaction time
2) Increase fielding ability
3) Increase bunting ability
4) Have a .990 or better fielding percentage

I was called into the manager's office today. I was told that one of our starters had been sent to our triple-A affiliate to replace a starter due to an injury on the Padres and that I would be taking his place as the #4 pitcher in our 5-man rotation.

4/23/08

Tonight was my first start of the season and we are on the road to take on the Frisco Roughriders.

I gave up a leadoff HR in the bottom of the 1st, on the second pitch of the game, then settled down. That was until the bottom of the 6th when I gave up a solo HR and then a single and another HR to start the half inning. I was then pulled with the score now tied, 5-5. We ended up winning the game, 9-5.

It's my second start of the season and we are on the road to face Midland. I was basically shelled as I allowed 10 hits in four plus innings. I gave up a leadoff HR on the third pitch of the game and ended up getting pulled in the bottom of the 5th after I gave up a HR to start the half inning. That made the score 5-0, Rockhounds, as their starter went the distance and allowed only two hits. The Rockhounds won, 6-0.

5/3/08

We are now in Corpus Cristi to take on the Hooks as I make my next start. I didn't start out so hot as I allowed a run in the 1st and two more in the 2nd to put the Hooks in front 3-1. We tied the score in the top of the 4th and I was done after the 7th inning with us in front, 4-3. One of our set up men allowed two runs in the last of the 8th and the Hooks won, 5-4.
