Trade news:The Mariners have proposed a trade to the Atlanta Braves, in the trade the MAriners would get Jair Jurrjens 25, and would send off Brandon League, David Pauley, and David Aardsma. If the trade is accepted the Mariners would send Moyer back to the bullpen, and have Josh Feilds, or Josh Lueke compete for the closer role.

On the hill the first game is the King vs Jeremy Guthrie, the King is 4-0 with 40K's and a 2.78 ERA, Guthrie is 4-1 with 33K's and a 3.94 ERA, the next game it will be Bedard vs Brian Matusz. Bedard is off to a slo start with a 1-4 record with 23K's and an ERA at over 6, on the other hand Matusz is off the a great start with 38K's a 2.76 ERA and a record of 3-2. After todays win David Aardsma is now on the trading block and Delcarmen is taking his spot as the teams closer role. Also Miguel Olivo is out for 1-2 months with a fractured arm, Olivo suffered the injury when Olivo and Jones collided at the plate in the 9th inning. Josh Bard is now the starting catcher.

Cortes sent down?Dan Cortes is getting sent down to AAA and Aaron Laffey is getting called up. Cortes has 1 K and an ERA of 9, since being sent down Laffey is 0-2 with an ERA of just 2.57, and the Mariners need a LRP, so this moves makes a lot of sense.
