Reds Franchise MLB the show 11

I simmed the 2011 season and finished second to the Cardinals for the division. I will begin this in the 2011 offseason. My number 1 goal right now is to re-sign Phillips and bring in some more veterans for better depth.

Cairo calls it a career

The Reds will need to fill the void that will be left by losing this veteran utility player.

Breaking News

Reports out of Cincinnati are that the Reds and 2B Brandon Phillips have come to terms on a 5 year 41 million dollar deal. This definitely seems like a hometown discount that the gold glover has given the Reds. When asked about the deal Phillips had this to say, "I love it in Cincinnati they gave me a chance when Cleveland gave up on me, and for that I am grateful. My favorite player was a Red for life, and hopefully I can retire a Red like him".

(AP) Dusty Baker, in an email sent out to the associated press said that the Reds have no plans to look outside for help in left field this off-season, because heading into spring training 19 year old Juan Duran will be starting for the club in left. Baker did go on to say that things could change during the spring but that this is the plan as of now.
