Blue Jays Activate Morrow

The Toronto Blue Jays announced that Brandon Morrow has been activated from the 60-day disabled list. To open space on the 40-man roster, Todd Redmond has been designated for assignment.

The right hander has been out for the season with arm troubles, and encountered a complex situation in rehabbing with the season over. Morrow completed his rehab at the Bobby Mattick center in Florida, and, as such, has not seen any live game action since his last MLB appearance, almost a full year. The right hander will surely appear in the Arizona Fall League, but for now, he will pitch out of the bullpen.

After game 3, manager John Gibbons announced that the team is benching Daniel Murphy indefinitely after a play at second base.

"That was a horse**** effort out there by Dan. He's got Jose coming off that injury and he takes his lazy-*** time and flips it to second without a care in the God damned world and Jose gets taken out. That's absolutely unacceptable and could have been avoided easily had Dan given half a ****. He'll learn his lesson."
