Re: Be Bold: A 2018 Philadelphia Phillies Franchise
The Phillies finally come away with their first win of the young season with a 5-3 victory over the New York Mets. J.P. Crawford was the player of the game with a 3-run home run that gave the Phillies a lead they would not relinquish. That home run was the first Major League home run for Crawford. Closer Hector Neris is now listed as day-to-day after suffering an abdominal strain while facing his first batter of the season. Pat Neshek will handle closing duties until Hector Neris is recovered.

Re: Be Bold: A 2018 Philadelphia Phillies Franchise
The Phillies take game 2 of this 3 game series against the Mets. Ben Lively pitched outstanding in this one. 6 innings of 4 hit ball with 8 strikeouts. Rhys Hoskins connected on his first home run of the season. He has been very slow out of the gate to start the season. Hopefully this home run will get him going. The Phillies look to sweep the Mets in the finale of this 3 game series, and then head home for the opening 6 game homestand.

Re: Be Bold: A 2018 Philadelphia Phillies Franchise
The Phillies have swept the New York Mets! Noah Syndergaard was not sharp at all as the Phillies hit 3 home runs off him while chasing him from the game after 5 innings. Carlos Santana was the star of the game with a 7 RBI performance on the strength of 3 home runs! Two of those off of Syndergaard. The Phillies have rebounded nicely from getting swept in Atlanta and now look ahead to their homestand against the Miami Marlins and Cincinnati Reds.
