MLB announces expansion

On Saturday MLB commissioner Rob Manfred announced that the MLB will be expanding to 32 teams for the 2019 season. The two teams being added will be the Louisville Rivermen and the Vancouver Bears. The current AAA team in the Louisville Bats (Reds AAA affiliate) will play out the 2019 season but beyond that, nothing is certain.

Along with the Rivermen & Bears both AAA & AA leagues will be expanding as well. Wichita Bombers will join the International League (AAA) and will be the Louisville AAA affiliate. Evansville Otters (AA) and Columbus (IN) Catfish (A) will also join Rivermen as affiliates.

The Vancouver Bears will add the Ottawa Stags as their AAA affiliate. (They also have AA ondown affiliates created by OOTP but I didn't edit those team names lol)

Along with the expansion, the alignment took a big turn to more closely follow the NFL divisions:

April 2019 Update: Rivermen started off slow as expected and ended the month horribly, winning 1 of their final 10. I've learned alot OOTP wize, like making sure you regenerate schedule. LOL My AA Evansville team is sitting playing 0 games due to me not regenerating that. Overall first month went as expected.

The Louisville Rivermen went 9-19 in May. The Louisville Rivermen did fire their scouting directer and hired 48 year old Brian Bridges in his place.

Looks like 3rd round pick (83rd Overall) RF Riley Greene will be impossible to sign. The dude wants a $22 million dollar signing bonus. Evidently his mom must be his agent. LOL According to my scouting director he's rated at 1/2 star currently with 3/5 potential. I gave him a offer of $1.5 million (his slot bonus is rated at $750,000. He evidently thinks he's the next Babe Ruth. So I fully expect him to refuse to sign.

July 2019 Update: Rivermen did get lucky signing some international prospects, that is of course if they turn out as good as their head scout projects. Rivermen sign:
SS Juan Salgado 16 out of the Dominican Republic with a $5M signing bonus. He projects to be a 5/5 rating.
SP Sergio Contreras 16 also out of the Dominican Republic with a $5M signing bonus. He projects to be a 3.5/5.
C Juan Vega 16 out of Venezuela to a $5M signing bonus. He projects to be 4.5/5.
