There's definitely been some rumors surfacing on campus that Coach Frizzell may be in search for a job from the Atlantic Ten or the Missouri Valley Conference this coming season. Rumors are that he's been contacting the schools' presidents and athletic directors and asking them if the coaching position might be opening up there. We can't confirm this story at this time, however. And of course if the WVU job opens up, that would also be tempting to him I'm sure.

Coach Frizzell won't respond to the allegations, though, simply responding, "I'm here to talk about this team, right now, and not about any future endeavors I might have. Right now, I'm concentrating on winning the rest of our games and making a strong showing in the NCAA Tournament.

Seriously, though, I am definitely considering taking a job in the A-10 or MVC if the WVU job doesn't open up. The thing is, I'll leave a lot of good players behind at Princeton that I've become attached too, so I'll definitely have to think it through quite a bit and contemplate if I do in fact decide to leave. I'm not going to go to just any school.

I'm just going to take this and ask what schools you would like me to look at going to if the position opens up. I may or may not leave next year, but I will definitely consider it.

I would like to stay at the mid-major level since I think it's kind of neat not being in the power conferences, unless I can get the WVU job. I'd really probably like to get in the Atlantic 10 or the Missouri Valley, though I'd look at Manhattan or Marshall if they opened up as well.

Again, it's certainly not a sure thing that I'll leave as I've grown so attached to the players. I hate leaving the players behind...

You know me I am open to seeing you at any school, but I would love to see you come out west. Maybe a WCC school or MWC if they open up.

Yes. I'll give some thought to the WCC or maybe the Mountain West.

This isn't dead guys. I just haven't played this game much lately. When I get the urge to play again, this will be firing back up!

Well whats it going to take to get you to have the Urge again.

I believe a switch to a new team and bigger conference will help bring the game back to life, but even if you can't bring yourself to it don't forget to stop by and give Coach Akpan some love by reading and leaving comments on how he is doing.

I just got NCAA 09, so I'm pretty into that for now. I am off for the rest of the week due to Thanksgiving, so I'll try to play some College Hoops 2K8 sometime during that span. I think a mid-major may liven the game up a bit. I'll see, though.

Oh, I'm still reading your legacy!

Alright, well, I'm going to try to fire this baby up again I think. I'm starting to get that basketball itch as we move into the conference portion of the real basketball season!

I'm still not sure about staying at Princeton after this season. I've grown attached to my players, but I really would love more of a challenge. Plus, it feels unrealistic getting high caliber recruits coming to a high quality academic institution like Princeton.

I don't know; I'll see...

Tigers Get Win on the Road

12/29 @ Vermont

Final: 76-51

The Princeton Tigers now have only three games left before the start of conference play after tonight's 25 point victory over a Vermont Catamount team on the road. "We struggled a bit early and only had an 11 point lead at halftime, but we were able to pull away in the end," Coach Frizzell explained. It was an all-around effort for the Princeton starters as four of them got into double-figures scoring and five Princeton players overall eclipsed the 10 point mark. The key player, as has been par for the season, was Cassiand Swift, whose 13 points and 12 rebounds was key in the game. Meanwhile, guards Reynold Gross (11 points, 6 assists) and Cedric Tchana (12 points) paced the offense while senior forward Wendell Lalugba added another 14 points. Even Benjamin McBridle came off the bench to nail five shots for 11 points.

Princeton is now 13-2.
