CCU battled to victory

Conway, SC - Coastal Carolina powered there way to a win over Radford on Saturday, their 5th of the season and first in conference play. It was an all around team effort with 3 guys in double figures and one more at 8. It is believed that F McLaurin was still not 100% since he only played 7 minutes. Hopefully he will be fully healed when the Chants play VMI on Monday.

The top of the Big South battle

Conway, SC - VMI will probably be one of the top teams in the Big South this year and Coastal just made them look silly. The Chants coasted to a 16 point win behind 17 by Holloway and 13 by Pack. F McLaurin continues to have his minutes taken away by F Kirkland, leading some to believe Coach Ellis really doesn't trust his Forwards.

High Point pulls off huge upset

High Point, NC - Losing doesn't get much worse than this. This is a game the Chants should of won in blow out fashion, instead they will go home tonight with a loss. It was almost as if High Point couldn't miss in the second half, who knows if that is because of Coastal's lack of defense. I know the players have to be down after this kinda loss, lets just hope it doesn't carry into the next game.

Coastal did everything to win

Lynchburg, VA - It's what makes players into legends. 10 seconds left in the game, Coastal down by 1 and the ball in G Holloway's hands. The massive crowd of 200 were on the edge of their seats as he threw up the last second 3 pointer. BOOM the crowd as silent as he drains it for the Coastal victory. It was a all around great game to be a fan of the Chanticleers.
