Blazers trade Ezeli and Hickson

The Portland Trailblazers have finalized a trade sending C Festus Ezeli and PF J.J. Hickson to Cleveland in order for SF Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and C Arthur Williams. The Blazers have been looking for a true SF for the starting line-up. Hickson returns to Cleveland where he started his career. Ezeli and Kidd-Gilchrist swap places after both being first round picks in the recent NBA Draft. Head Coach Nate McMillian said, "Its always hard moving players but in order to compete for a championship, we had to make this move."

Blazers dump Crawford

Portland Trailblazers SG Jamal Crawford hasn't been much of a factor in the Blazers offense. His 5 million contract was eating up cap space and it wasn't worth keeping him on the roster. So Crawford asked for a trade. His wish was granted as he was traded along with recently acquired C Arthur Williams to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for young PF Ekpe Udoh and SG Shawn Livingston. Udoh is expected to contribute off the bench as a solid role player. Livingston is expected to play as the 3rd SG.

Rivers Explodes for 33!

The Portland Trailblazers were able to keep the record clean, improving to 3-0 on the season after beating the Raptors 94-89. Rookie Austin Rivers lit it up tonight scoring 33 points on 11-23 shooting. It was his early success from downtown that kept the Blazers on top all game long. Rookie Thomas Robinson also had his best game of his career as he scored 17 points and added 12 rebounds and 5 assists. He showed a good passing ability as a big man tonight.

Your team did okay against the Raptors. You just couldn't stop Rivers. Nice win though.
