Florida A&M Rattlers - Coaching Career Of Desmond Hunt
Coaching Scouting Report
Offense - C
Hunt sure knew how to run offense but it was overrated because he barley communicated with his teammates back in his playing days and that's followed him for a while. In today's world Desmond Hunt knowledge carried on with him and he should be able too efficiently coach a decent A&M team's offense.
Defense - C+
Desmond Hunt best coaching ability is defense and everyone knows that. Defense wins championships and Hunt understands that purely. He knew exactly what defense to run against teams back in his playing days and loves to run a successful zone defense frequently. However a C+ is all I can give to Desmond Hunt because he will need to transition his knowledge on the division one field, it's no longer as easy as it was back in the NJCAA.
Teaching - C+
Another thing Hunt is best in is developing his players and the NJCAA fans saw that as he shocked the league and coached Tallahassee Community College all the way to the championship game throwing away last season's terrifying 7-21 season as an assistant coach. Development and intense coach will definitely be coming to Florida A&M's players.
Scouting - C
Hunt was always pretty good at seeing talent no one else can see. Former A&M's coach Mickey Clayton went on during an press conference talking about how he recalls Desmond ability and effort put into scouting future game match-ups.
Charisma - C-
"I don't care about recruiting, my assistants can do that."
This was a quote from Hunt... Not really good attitude but it appears he doesn't care about recruiting and that's definitely not a good attitude coaching at a D-1 school and if he's really is going to rely on everyone else with this field it's probably going to hurt the school's future success.

Florida A&M Recruiting News
Irving Christian, 6"9, 215 LBS, Center From Fort Myers, FL - *** Recruit
Assistant coach Stetson Penigar has been in contact with Irving since the beginning of the year and he might of just topped the other schools interested in Christian's services.
Irving is a bigman who will be able to be a helpful option in the paint and can definitely help Florida A&M's rebound presence.
Ivan Sowers, 6"6, 221 LBS, Small Forward From Killeen, TX - *** Recruit
Ivan Sowers might not come into the NCAA and automatically be an impact prospect but with the right coaching he can become a great all-around player.
He has for the most part been in contact for both assistants coaches, Ernest Hancock and Stetson Penigar.
