Game 10 @ Florida

Texas State Keeps It Tight But Falls to #10 Florida 87-76

Alex Tyus had 28 points and the #10 Florida Gators shot 67% from the floor and beat the Texas State Bobcats Saturday night. The Gators held a 48-33 advantage at half and the lead ballooned as high as 23 early in the second half. The Gators coasted to an 11-point game from there. Patric Young added 14 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists for the Gators.

The Bobcats saw much improved play in the second half compared to the first half. “I think some of the young guys wet themselves a bit in the first half.” Coach Bell said after the game. “Playing at a top ten team in the nation with a raucous crowd, some guys were dazed to start the game. But we fought back and competed in the second half.” Eddie Rios had 21 points and 8 assists and Matt Staff had 26 points on 11-14 shooting.

NEXT: The Bobcats travel to Jacksonville to compete this 2 game Florida Road Trip.

Game 11 @ Jacksonville

Bobcats grind out victory over Dolphins, 73-66

The Texas State Bobcats were able to bounce back after their loss against Florida with a 73-66 win over the Jacksonville Dolphins. I'm enjoying this a lot (but I really like any CHoops dynasty haha). I like the created players idea a lot. You've been on a nice stretch lately. Maybe a mid-major or at least larger small conference school will offer you after the season.
