The Lakers open up the fourth on a 14-4 run pushing the lead out to ten. 40 seconds left up by three Metta World Peace hit a three pointer pushing the lead out to 6. The Lakers win the game 88-84.

Celtics @ Knicks
The Celtics jumped out to a 15 points lead after the first quarter and kept it going into the second scoring at will on the Knicks ending the half with a 58-39 lead at halftime. Rajon Rondo had 16 points and 7 assists in the first half. Midway through the third quarter the celtcis were able to push the lead out to 74-44. Celtics kept the lead in the third to be up 84-59 after three. The Celtics wrapped up a dominating victory 102-81 over the knicks.

Hornets @ Magic (Classic)
An even first half of the opening quarter with the power forwards for each team picking up 2 quick fouls sending Horace Grant and Larry Johnson to the bench giving the big men some more room to work. The hornets fought off the early magic run to keep the game close ending the first quarter 25-23 hornets lead. Alonzo Mourning and Larry Johnson combined for 17 points in the first quarter. With Larry Johnson scoring at will the magic had to attack him defensively in the second, causing him to pick up his third foul and send him to the bench. The hornets led at halftime 45-43 in a back and forth battle. The magic cut oe point into the lead trailing by four heading into the fourth quarter. Penny Hardaway went off in the fourth quarter sending the magic on a run to take a 7 point lead before 2 straight baskets from Dell Curry with 1 minute and forty seconds left. Mugsy Bogues got the mismatch he wanted against Horace Grant to cut the lead to one with less than a minute left. The magic came down with a one point lead and missed a shot with 18 seconds left. The hornets came out of the timeout down one with 18 seconds left. They posted Larry Johnson and he missed a shot with 5 seconds left, the hornets were able to foul Shaq as he went to the line and missed the first then missed the second. Hornets call another timeout with 3.3 seconds left and one chance at winning the game. They inbound to Bogues and he missed a three pointer as time expired improving the magic to 3-0 so far in the young season.
