Raptors Offense Leads The Way To Victory
INDIANA -- The Indiana Pacers got a different look at the Toronto Raptors at home, the same team that they managed to beat easily by a score of 89-79 to kick start the season. Since that opening night win for the Pacers, the season has been a total failure. They have gone 1-5 in the last six games since their opening night win, bringing their overall record to 2-5. The Raptors though, have learned from their opening night loss, with coach Dwayne Casey getting to know his players better, the Raptors have surprised everyone by starting the season first atop the standings with a 5-2 record, coincidentally the opposite of the Pacers.

The Raptors showed why they’re first in the league by putting up a season high 124 points, beating the Pacers by a score of 124-119 on the road. Kyle Lowry picked up a double-double with 13 assists to go along with 13 points. Rudy Gay was the best of the starting lineup, putting up 25 points and picking up 7 rebounds. But the night belonged to rookie Terrence Ross, who put up career highs in points (27) and minutes (22). Ross, the recent top overall pick for the Raptors, was lights out from the beyond the arc as he went 5-5 in three pointers, leading to 25 of his points on the night before he finished off his performance with a strong one-handed dunk.

The Pacers offense was led by power forward David West and center Roy Hibbert. Both recorded 22 points with 9 and 8 rebounds, respectively. Point guard George Hill matched a season high in assists with 12 and and was second on the team with 17 points.

The Raptors continue their road trip as they will head to Boston to take on Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo and the Boston Celtics. You can catch all of the action right here on ESPN.

Good win. The Pacers bench really failed them here while T-Ross just owned for the Raptors. Well done.

The Pacers bench was surprisingly awful. I really like T-Ross' shooting motion, really got the timing down last game and the results speak for themselves!

Collison, Mavs Agree To Extension

The Dallas Mavericks and point guard Darren Collison have agreed to a four year contract extension that is reportedly worth $30.74 million dollars. The guard out of UCLA has had a decent season so far, which is likely why the Mavericks want to lock him up early.

Kenyon Martins Wants Out of NY?

It has been reported lately that Knicks power forward Kenyon Martin wants to be traded out of the New York Knicks organization. Martin refused to answer questions about the rumor saying that "It will sort it self out". Martin signed a new contract with the Knicks during the offseason.

Clippers Shopping Hill?

The Los Angeles Clippers are reportedly exploring the market for veteran Grant Hill. The former first round pick has yet to meet expectations in Los Angeles, which is likely why he is being shopped around. The same report also stated that there seems to be "No takers or suitors" for Hill.

Mavs Looking To Unload Morrow?

There have been multiple reports that have been issued that state that the Dallas Mavericks are "actively shopping" shooting guard Anthony Morrow. Morrow has under-achieved this season, making his a realistic trade target as well as someone that the Mavericks may want to get rid of.

Game Notes
- The Raptors are off to one of the best starts in franchise history at 6-2.
- The Boston Celtics are missing all-star Paul Pierce for their third straight game. The have lost all three games without Pierce, resulting in a three game losing streak.
- The Raptors will have to contain point guard Rajon Rondo if they want to have a chance to win this game.
- The Celtics will have to defend small forward Rudy Gay very tightly as he has been the main cause that the Raptors have had such a successful season so far.
