Let me begin by stating my intentions to go the full distance with this MyLeague. I want to go as many seasons far as I can. Hopefully, at least 20ish years.

The Return of Seattle

After the 2008 Relocation of the Oklahoma City Thunder from Seattle left so many Seattle fans heartbroken and bitter. The NBA has decided to have the Sonics back in the NBA after a bid of the team's owner, J.J. McDaniel's gave them. Apparently the NBA had been talking about this since 2014. The only thing holding back from Seattle was 2 things, J.J. was 91 at this point and needed a successor, Jaiveer, his assistant rose to the occasion and was now the new GM and Owner of the Seattle _______. As J.J. McDaniel's death brought many Seattle basketball fans to his funeral, they were all there just to thank the man once more for fulfilling so many's dream of bringing basketball back to Seattle. It is now May 2nd, it's been 7 months since the Seattle _______'s announcement of being back to the NBA was announced. This was probably the 2nd most significant day since November 1st, when Seattle was announced. Jaiveer got the rights to use the Supersonics as the team's name as long as jersey's and logos were not the exact same. I didn't plan on doing that anyway. The only way this happened was Starbucks, as long as the arena can be named, Starbucks Arena the Starbucks brand was willing to lend some money. Now that the team name is set, it was time for the team branding. I needed to bridge the old and new Supersonics together. Here's what I got right at May 22nd.

A Shock Wave Across The League

So apparently since 1 extra team in one conference would be unfair. The NBA has added a new team, The Pittsburgh Force, a city that really only needs hockey really. We did so much work to get a team but the stupid Force just needed to bid and bang their in. To make me even more pissed the GM's only goal a he said in an interview is to get a better record than us. Consider it on.



Anyways, They put us in the Northwest, which I believe is great for us all teams there are young and it's not a hard conference. Meanwhile, the Thunder, the team that was stolen from us got into one of the hardest divisions, the Southwest. Pittsburgh is in the Central.


The Lottery has ended. We got the lucky bounce and got the 4th pick over the Force. Meanwhile, Celtics get #1 and might trade it, the Lakers are scrambling after their pick was given to the 76ers and the 76ers are trying to get higher. I'm just looking forward to the Expansion Draft.

Crazy Draft!

The Draft started out with bang. Phili got their 1st pick by giving their 3rd and next year's top 3 protected pick to the Lakers. The Lakers who were desperate for a pick gave up 3 future 1st round picks, only 1 protected. Celtics grabbed all 3 of those picks for the #1 pick. How will this trade affect the future we will just have to find out.

As I expected, the 76ers didn't trade their pick and got Ben Simmons. The Clippers and Suns meanwhile, shocked the world by trading Griffin and Jordan for the 2nd pick, which would be Brandon Ingram and Devin Booker along with 2 picks for the future. Is Chris Paul getting traded? Maybe. The Lakers as well got the 76ers in my opnion, trading their 3rd pick (Kris Dunn) for Jahill Okafor and a pick. The last trade of the night was Devin Booker getting traded again for the 5th pick of the Force (Thon Maker). After this no significant trades happened.





I needed a wing as our best was Marco Belelini. We took Buddy Hield even though some tempting offers like Middleton and Devin Booker were there. Hield will fit in our young team as a star like Oklahoma
