Re: Welcome to the Land - NBA 2k17 Cleveland Cavaliers Association

Love scores 14 in fourth as Cavs outlast Lakers 106-84
CLEVELAND -- A few days of rest refreshed the Cavaliers' Big 3.

Kevin Love scored 14 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter, Kyrie Irving chipped in 26, LeBron James led the way with 28, and Cleveland finally put away Los Angeles in the fourth quarter, beating the young Lakers 106-84 on Saturday night.

James, Irving and Love combined for 78 points, 23 rebounds and 11 assists.

James, who missed the end of pregame warmups, national anthem and player introductions before running onto the floor just before the opening tip, took over in the fourth and needs just two points to move past Moses Malone (27,409) for eighth place on the career scoring list.

D'Angelo Russell led the Lakers with 18 points and 6 assists, Nick Young and Lou Williams scored 15 and 14 points respectively, but each shot poorly doing so.

Before receiving his NBA championship ring, Lakers center Timofey Mozgov, who spent 1 1/2 seasons with Cleveland, was mobbed by the Cavaliers at mid-court.

"I was really proud to be with this team, it was everything I could ask for," said Mozgov, who received a nice ovation from Cleveland fans and visited the Cavs locker room postgame. "It was a happy memory, and I was excited all night."

Bucks snap Cavs 6 game win streak 112-97
MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Bucks are 2-0 against the defending NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers this season.

After defeating the Cavs earlier this year, Milwaukee once again proved a tough matchup for Cleveland.

Giannis Antetokoumpo knotched a triple-double with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists as the Bucks dominated the second half of the 112-97 win.

Jabari Parker and Micheal Beasley were both to slippery at power forward for the Cavs defense scoring a combined 46 points.

Adding to the parade of long athletic Bucks stuffing the stat sheet John Henson scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Cleveland was led by LeBron James with 24 points. Iman Shumpert had a season high 21 off the bench in the losing effort.

The Cavs will look to rebound tomorrow back home at the Quicken Loans Arena as the teams meet for the third time.

Re: Welcome to the Land - NBA 2k17 Cleveland Cavaliers Association

Cavs Big 3 too much for Milwaukee
CLEVELAND -- It took three games but the Cleveland Cavaliers finally have win against the Milwaukee Bucks this season.

One night after a 112-97 loss in Milwaukee each of Cleveland's 'Big 3' stepped up lift the Cavs to a 110-103 win.

LeBron James led the way with 33 points, Kevin Love added 29 with 13 rebounds, and Kyrie Irving added 24 with 9 assists.

After his big performance Wednesday night, James was asked if he sees the Bucks as a contender, a team Cleveland could meet in the playoffs.

"I hope, man. It would be great, four games against them," James said. "I'm fired up to go against them every time now, for real. Since they kicked our (butts) in twice it's been personal and it's going to continue to be personal."

Jabari Parker led the Bucks in scoring for the second straight game with 27 points. Giannis Antetokoumpo continues to showcase his versatility with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists.

"They're the champs," Milwaukee coach Jason Kidd said. "They showed that again tonight. They never panic. They've seen everything. For a young team like ourselves, we're going through that. Hopefully, we can learn from our mistakes."

Way to finally figure out how to beat Milwaukee. You'd think the Bucks would finally click in real life.

Re: Welcome to the Land - NBA 2k17 Cleveland Cavaliers Association

James, Irving lead Cavs past Nets; Warriors next
CLEVELAND -- LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and the Cavaliers look ready for the marquee matchup in the NBA this season, a Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors.

James scored 34 points, Irving added 32, and Cleveland got past the Brooklyn Nets, 121-116 on Friday night.

The Nets sent an all out barrage at the Cavs in the second half and finished the game with 47 three point attempts making 17. Brook Lopez led Brooklyn with 25 points and 15 rebounds as bigs continue to give the Cavs fits inside.

Cleveland hosts Golden State on Sunday in a rematch of the last two NBA Finals. The defending champion Cavaliers (22-6) never trailed against the Nets.

The postgame talk focused more on Sunday -- which marks the second straight year Cleveland and Golden State have played on Christmas -- than the rout of the Nets.

"It's great," James said. "Christmas Day for our fans is the biggest day for our season, besides we have All-Star and then finals. I'm happy I'm part of it once again."

"There will definitely be high emotions in both locker rooms," Irving said. "That's a given. If you're not getting up for this game, all the great players who will be on the floor at one time, you shouldn't be in there."
