Thank you. I love the 2K franchise. I was trying to figure out a team to pick, and had it down to Orlando. Charlotte, and Atlanta.... All of which already have active dynasties already, so I decided to go the expansion route. Hopefully, I can make this interesting.

Re: May The (Pittsburgh) Force Be With You NBA2K18

Force Keep It Close, Lose To Nets In Opener

Brooklyn - In their historic first game, the expansion Pittsburgh Force lost to the Nets 132-130. Both Kemba Walker and Montrezl Harrell got into foul trouble within the first 5 minutes of the game, both getting two fouls apiece. With both starters absent in the first half of the game, the team went down 36-27 in the first quarter, but surged back in the second a went into halftime with a 66-61 lead.

Walker, despite the limited minutes in the first half, had a game high 42 points. However, the rest of the starters combined to score only 20. Dwight Howard hauled in 18 rebounds in 28 minutes of action, but only produced 4 points. Davis Bertans, who was forced into more action due to Harrell's penalty woes, scored 14, while Jerian Grant was a foul magnet, going 11-12 from the free throw line.

"We played a hard fought game. We just can't have our stars getting into early foul trouble. We also need our starters to get more involved offensively. Kemba was lights out, but we want our offense more spread out." Coach Sean Castro said.

The Nets were led by James Johnson, Chris Levert, and Jeremy Lin who scored 33,29,and 22 points respectively. Levert was an endurance machine playing all 48 minutes. The Nets other starters Trevor Booker (10 points , 11 rebounds) and Brook Lopez (11 points , 11 rebounds) both had double doubles.

The Force will have the day off before heading to San Diego for an expansion battle with The Surf, before heading home for back-to-back series against The Toronto Raptors

Re: May The (Pittsburgh) Force Be With You NBA2K18

Force Score 50 In First, Easily Defeat The Surf

San Diego - Thanks to a first quarter, where the team easily put up 50, The Pittsburgh Force defeated The San Diego Surf in a battle of the expansion teams. Head Coach Sean Castro's up tempo offense easily imposed it's will on a hapless Surf team early on, and didn't let up.

Dwight Howard led the way with 25 rebounds while also scoring 20, 12 of which were scored in the first quarter. PG Kemba Walker didn't have to be the focal point he was last game, where he scored 42, scoring 22 points while also dishing out 9 assists. Coming off the bench, Jerian Grant scored a team high 24 points, going 8-8 from the free throw line.

The Force were plagued by poor defense and poor shooting. Their bench combined to score only 38 points. Only 3 players (Jordan Clarkson, Evan Fournier, and Josh Jackson) scored in the double digits.

"I am excited to see how we play this year. Tonight was only one game, hopefully we can carry over this momentum." said SG Manu Ginobili, who scored 9 points in 14 minutes for Pittsburgh.

The Force will next play Toronto, in back to back games, to open up play in Pittsburgh.

Re: May The (Pittsburgh) Force Be With You NBA2K18

Raptors Bully Force At Home

Pittsburgh - In front of a packed house the Pittsburgh Force ran into a solid brick wall that is the Toronto Raptors. From the start it became apparent that The Force were going to be for a tough night. Serge Ibaka and Jonas Valanciuas dominated the Force down low. The end of game stats don't paint the picture, as The Force lost the rebound battle by 3 (65-68). In the end, it was Toronto's big men that controlled the game, as they combined for 40 rebounds. Raptors SG Demar Derozan used the lanes created by Tornto's bigs to score 34.

The Force were only able to muster a paltry 19 points from Kemba Walker, who had the game high for the team. The usually automatic Jerian Grant shot 50% from the charity stripe, while questions are starting to surface about Montrezl Harrell, who was outplayed by both Ersan Ilyasova and Davis Bertans. Bertans, who has been an offensive force ended up with 4 blocks on the defensive side.

The Force look to bounce back tomorrow night against these same Raptors. "We have to get more physical. We can't let guys push us around. Especially in our house." Dwight Howard said ahead of tomorrows rematch.

Re: May The (Pittsburgh) Force Be With You NBA2K18

Force Get Revenge; Defeat Raptors 130-114

Pittsburgh - On the back end of a back-to-back series against the Toronto Raptors, the Pittsburgh Force used it's speed and up tempo offense to down their opponents. Relying on an offense that utilizes football-like passes that stretch an opponents defense, the Force easily won despite some early difficulties.

"Our style of play is very dependent on speed. Sometimes that gets us into some trouble in terms of turnovers, but when we are firing on all cylinders,I dare say we could match up with anyone in the league." Coach Sean Castro said.

"We didn't play our game. They came out a different team from yesterday. All the credit to them." said Raptors guard Kyle Lowry, who finished the game with 29 points.

Montrezl Harrell played his most complete game of the season, getting a double-double (12pts, 10 reb) in 22 minutes of action. His backup, Davis Bertans, however, had his worst showing shooting 2-7 in 14 minutes.

The Force will have the next four days off before ending the month with a home game against the Boston Celtics.

Re: May The (Pittsburgh) Force Be With You NBA2K18

Force End The Month Obliterating The Celtics 169-111

Pittsburgh - After a relatively close 1st quarter in which they only led by 6, the Force exploded offensively and defeated the Celtics by a margin of 58.

Led by the trio of Kemba Walker (21), Shabazz Muhammad (27), and Jerian Grant (24), the Force utterly dominated the Celtics in every department. Despite only scoring 2 points off the bench, Manu Ginobili ended the game with 6 assists while big man Dwight Howard pulled in 22 rebounds.

The Celtics, especially Isaiah Thomas (3-17), were snake bit by poor shooting, finishing with a 41-100 shooting line. With Al Horford sitting out the game, nursing a twisted knee, the Celtics were bullied in the paint. Jared Sullinger, moving over from PF to Horford's place in the middle, was the only Celtic to pull in double digit rebounds with 11. Paul Millsap, the teams big off-season acquisition, only scored 9.

"We just have to get better at every area. Tonight was an embarrassment." said Celtics Head Coach Brad Stevens.
