That's gotta be the highest-scoring All NBA 1st team of all time. The lowest scorer had 29.3 ppg. Wow.

Scoring is way up for me due to sliders, with top 10 scorers ranging from 31-29 points. Real-life isn't too far off, 33.1-26.2 but is more heavily on the high side of that range. I don't know that I hate it, it's just the way it's worked out.

One of my knocks with 2k is that age doesn't impact performance. 21 year olds shouldn't be this great, but the game doesn't properly nerf players early on. That being said, it's not like the 21 YOs that are here are surprising. Swift was billed as the next LeBron. The Dixon twins were projected to be elite. Stokes was considered a potential future HOFer when he entered the league. It's definitely surprising that there are so many good young guys, but at the same time they are the face of the next generation.

The Swift-Deonte Dixon-Cleaves battle for best forward/player is going to be a ton of fun for the next 7-10 years.

Boston at #9 is a disappointing season for them, right?

45 wins is a great season, and somehow Sacramento is possibly the 9 seed. That's a deep conference.

Massively disappointing for Boston. The loss of Kareem Robinson for literally nothing since LA used cap space to sign him killed them. They had no depth, so even though they added Latrell Appling (PG 81), getting him cost them Travon Buycks (PF 81). So they had an awesome top two (Amari Swift and Zavier Carter (C 89), a few really good starters (Appling, Ziarie Williams (SF, 80), Jonathan Schayes (SG, 80)) and then literally nothing else. Add in Carter getting injured a couple times and they just didn't have enough firepower.

The addition of Javon Shumpert (G, 79) is the first good move to add depth, but they'll need some more wings this summer.

This has been an interesting season. We had 10 teams win 50+ games, which is the second-most behind 12 teams in 2028-29, but really the reason for Sacramento and Seattle to win 45 games and one will miss the playoffs is because the middle class has disappeared. There were only four teams winning 30-39 games, which is the second-fewest behind the 2025-26 season that had three teams win 30-39 games and 10 teams win 50+ games. That being said, this season there were four teams to win 20-29 games this year, while in that 2025-26 season there were seven.

So this season there was basically this massive upper-class in the league, a very small middle class (30-win teams) and a relatively huge lower class with 4 teams winning less than 20 games. From a roster standpoint, it makes sense since this was the end of a handful of years where mediocre teams were selling off good players to other mediocre teams, creating a pretty sizable divide between the top and bottom, and making it quite possible that a lower seed, like Cleveland if they escape the play-in, could make a run (that's not a spoiler, I haven't started the playoffs yet but they have a real shot).
