New York Knicks @ Miami Heat

Posted 10-26-2011 at 05:51 PM by CharliePrince
After last game's memorable game against Amar'e Stoudamire and Wilson Chandler, the Knicks go up against a team which promises to be another memorable battle. The Big Three? In Miami? It's now, Wade, Gallinari and Nowitzki!

Yes folks.. the Big Three have broken up and gone their seperate ways as mentioned in the beginning of this seaso but who would the Heat re-tool with?

Thaddeus Young a fierce inside presence, Danilo Gallinari a scorer no matter where he's at and the aging Dirk Nowitzki, ever-dangerous.. although truth be told I always imagined he'd retire a Maverick.

It was a high-scoring game as expected, I am honestly surprised and am now more of a believer in my team considering Carmelo Anthony had an awful game shooting 3-for-17 and yet the Knicks kept pace with the Heat in scoring productivity eventually scoring over 100 and winning the game by a comfortable margin.

Charlotte Bobcats @ New York Knicks

Posted 10-26-2011 at 01:55 PM by CharliePrince
I tried.. lord knows I tried to win with Amar'e Stoudamire and Carmelo Anthony being the stars of my team. Two Off-Seasons ago, Amar'e took his talents to Charlotte and signed with the Bobcats. Who could blame him? He was chasing the ring.. and the Bobcats had CP3 and Wilson Chandler solidifying the team. It didn't get him the Championship though, ironically, the Knicks did win the title that same year.

Amar'e "STAT" Stoudamire and Wilson Chandler, two former Knicks returned to the Garden and tried their best to win the game by themselves. It wasn't enough as the Knicks simply were the better team and Melo has his new partner in crime Jin House negating the Amar'e/Chandler tandem. It was a 5 point win as the Knicks close the game out.

New York Knicks @ Boston Celtics

Posted 10-26-2011 at 12:04 PM by CharliePrince
These aren't the Celtics as you remember them. Paul Pierce has long since retired, so has Ray Allen and "The Kid" Kevin Garnett is a hall of famer now.

Rajon Rondo is the one true leader and star of these Celtics, along with "Big Baby" Glen Davis and they remain a strong team because of the brilliance of Rondo's play. They have scorers and have drafted accordingly as well although it will take perhaps another year for those draftees to pay off.

After dropping 2 straight games, as funny as it sounds, this was a must win for New York and it finally showed. Although Rajon Rondo kept it close for 3 qtrs of play, the Knicks pulled away in the 4th sealing an 11 point win.

New York Knicks @ Atlanta Hawks

Posted 10-26-2011 at 01:16 AM by CharliePrince
This was a tale of two halves..

The Knicks thoroughly dominated the Hawks in the 1st qtr. Was winning easily at halftime.. and I don't know what happened after that. Maybe my team fell asleep and thought the Hawks would lay down and that the game was over? I'm not certain.. but it seemed that by the time my Knicks realized a game was going on, the Hawks not only tied the game but took the lead.

Eventually the Knicks forced OT but by then it was already too late and we couldn't regain the winning form we had early on.

New York Knicks @ Milwaukee Bucks

Posted 10-25-2011 at 11:27 PM by CharliePrince
The Milwaukee Bucks is a very dangerous team. I should know, I helped make them that way by trading them 1st overall pick SF - Wayne Carter. To this day, it remains the hardest trade I've ever had to make, letting a 1st overall draft pick go the same year I drafted him because he had the raw talent to someday become league MVP. That much, I admit.

However, my hand was forced and I could never start him over Carmelo Anthony. The Bucks' lineup simply got better with that trade as they now have Brandon Jennings, Stephen Curry and Andrew Bogut in their starting lineup along with a now more developed Wayne Carter who has become a star in his own right.

This was a very close game, knowing how dangerous the Bucks were it was a great test for my Knicks. It was 22-21 after the 1st qtr, 35-33 at the half. Thankfully, my Knicks kept building on the lead and we came away with the W.
