I am a fan of Floyd Mayweather the boxer, but not the out of ring conduct. Yes I know that it's all for show and to sale tickets, but some times I think he goes over board, and can be very child like. But he is IMO the best fighter of his era.

but as you can see in postfight interviews and such that Floyd is respectful towards his opponents once the fight is over and is not an *** once he's done having to promote a fight. Its amazing the difference between Pre-Fight Floyd and Post-Fight Floyd. 2 different people. Thats why i can tolerate the act because i know he doesnt mean a lot of what he says and he does it to piss people off and sell the fight. Plus i love a guy who can be that cocky and continue to back it up.

Floyd got the best of the inside exchanges. He was smart with how he clinched and although i agree with what you said about Bayless, Floyd picked up how he was refing the fight and was able to be slicker and craft with the clinches. He would get out of the clinch and catch Mosley as they seperated, he didnt allow Mosely to get anything going in the clinch, he was very smart. Even Naz warned Shane that Floyd was getting him when they were seperating.

lol..I don't even have to click on it. Is it the part about taking the punch and that's part of the toughness of the sport? I though of this conversation when he said that.

No doubt he showed some toughness in round 2. It was crazy seeing his knee buckle for a second, but he did hold through.

i like how after the fight when he was asked about that he said, this is a contact sport you're going to get hit with punches, etc.

He didn't come flat out and say yea it hurt me but he basically was saying yeah he caught me with a couple shots that round but i was able to hang on and recover after that. Normally fighters will flat out deny being hurt and try to play it off but i like that he didnt do that and gave a pretty good answer to that question which both admitted that he did get caught adn it stunned him and gave credit to Shane for that punch without flat out saying it.

I thought he was very good in his postfight interview with his answers and basically drew the line in the sand to Manny saying do the test or there is no fight and you will look dirty and like a coward if you dont do it. And Mosely also adding that he thinks Manny should just do the test also makes Pacquiao worse.

The worst thing for Manny was Mosely agreeing to do this testing because now anyone Floyd fights will have to do the same and just thinking about it now, i think last night was a bigger bonus because we 100% knew both of those fighters were clean. There hasn't been a boxing fight ever where we could honestly say we knew 100% these guys were clean of steroids and HGH.

Part of Floyd's success after breaks was due to Shane's insane insistence on touching gloves after nearly every clinch as a measure of respect and sportsmanship. Floyd started ignoring those overtures, as he should have.

I finally yelled at my TV, "Forget that touching gloves sh*t, Shane: This is a FIGHT, not a sparring session!"

Re: Are You A Fan Of Floyd Mayweather?

Yes, big time fan.

Outside of what he does to sell the fight he is a boxing purist. I'd say he's a throwback but that would discredit his skills because only a few athletes ever have mastered the sport like he has.
