Don't blame him for going for a final big payday, but he's not going to beat Canelo and then the cerebral damage thing with GGG. I would not pay for either fight.

Golovkin has a true fighters build. Alvarez looks like he's built for a power lifting competition.

I could very well be wrong about this, but I think GGG wins this fight by KO.
I don't think Alvarez has the power to back him up or stop him.

The only chance Alvarez has is if GGG has aged.
If not, he will get destroyed.

Pretty much agree but the stutter step with Jacobs is the only thing that gives me pause.

So I'm bitching about a "supposedly" poor undercard unnecessarily because we should grade Oscar's promotion on a curve because of his shallow stable. I guess if he had a deep stable it would be a poor or terrible undercard. Yeah you're probably right about Cotto.
True, Oscar would be poor if he had a deep stable. He doesn't.

Plus I don't have a problem with seeing some possible future stars of the sport under the bright lights for the first time.

I saw Golovkin's first fight in the USA -- in 2012 against Gregorz Proksa -- live and in person from the fifth row of the Turning Stone Casino. I knew who GGG was, because I'm a boxing freak, like you. But it still was one of the thrills of my sporting life to see him live and in the detonating flesh well before only the hardcore knew of the mighty GGG.

yes he is,... but that's what I mean, it's not like I refuse all together, but more that mental block I have w/ such small fighters.

I will occasionally watch others as well, just don't like back to back to back sub-130lbs .

My prediction for this fight is GGG via decision, because I feel Canelo will find a way to survive. I also think GGG may fade later, but it won't matter so much to cost him the fight.

Lampley said the main event would start around 11 PM EST, an hour and fifteen minutes from now.

Golovkin looks old and slow.
