Conference Championship Discussion

While the hippies in the west coast are doing their "no tournament" thing (do u, late night bros. do u.) The rest of the country is about to go into a frenzy with a mad dash to either contest for a national seed, make a case for hosting a regional, or even sneaking into the tournament at all.

Re: Conference Championship Discussion

After an awesome Husker win against Illinois on Saturday, I look forward to again seeing them in action at the Big Ten tourney on Wednesday. I have tickets to every game so hopefully we can get some great baseball before the CWS next month.

Re: Conference Championship Discussion

Went to see what the fuss about Evansville lefty Kyle Freeland was today at the Missouri Valley Tournament.

Evansville, the #1 seed ended up losing to #8 Southern Illinois 9-1.

Freeland looked a little off, but I heard some Evansville fans saying he was pitching on short rest. Still, he has a pretty nasty slider and a good fastball. Plenty of scouts in attendance. Once Freeland left the game, SIU jumped all over the relief pitchers and broke the game open.

Re: Conference Championship Discussion

Didn't end up doing the updates because I got distracted with birthday stuff, but Vandy, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Mississippi State advanced. LSU-Vandy starting in 15

Re: Conference Championship Discussion

LSU run rules Vandy 11-1 after 7. In the last 38 innings, LSU has 67 runs in the last 40 innings...

Nebraska pulled off a four run bottom of the ninth to beat Ohio State. Just incredible.

It was absolutely amazing. Was listening to it on my way home from work. Crazy finish to the game now on to play Michigan State!
