As for POY, happy for KA but I also agree that Crawford probably should have won. In fact, I thought KA played terrible against X, especially in the 1st half
What I find interesting is The Sporting News named him to 3rd Team All-American as well as A10 POY. I think Anderson is a great player who is going to end up in the NBA but Crawford was that much better. Maybe the A10 coaches don't like him. I know how he carries himself at times can turn people off. Hell, lots of Xavier fans had to warm up to him because X hasn't had a talent like his since David West and weren't used to having a star player. Plus you didn't see West acting the way Jordan does at times either. The kid is just confident and really darn good.

Anyway, I don't know if anybody knows what Jordan is going to do next season. He's dodged the questions when they've come up. If he is on track to graduate in May 2011, which he could be since he's a RS SO, I think from a life standpoint, it would be a little silly to leave school when you only have one year left to finish for your diploma. I want Xavier players to graduate. People made a big deal about Derrick Brown leaving "early" for the NBA when he had a year left because it never happens at Xavier. Well, Brown graduated with two degrees. Sure he had one year of eligibility left since he was a RS JR as well, but he was ready to move on. I hope Jordan sticks around another year from a selfish fan's standpoint as well as for his own life and gets his degree. He's been amazing to watch.

That's kind of the way I feel. UD limped into the tournament and, from what I've heard from people who watched the game, the Flyers didn't look very inspired. I think Crawford will be playing with a chip on his shoulder for getting snubbed on POY. Plus, I think these guys badly want to play Richmond again after Kevin Anderson said the Spiders were still the better team following their loss to X in Cincy. I'll be disappointed if the Muskies come out flat Friday evening.

Rhody wins again!

Here is my question, if they beat Temple, does Rhody get in?

Based on where Lunardi has had them (1st 4 out/Next 4 out) even while playing like crap leading up to the A-10 tournament, I think they might get back in if they beat Temple. Kind of depends on what others on the bubble do. Illinois winning today as well didn't help Rhody's cause.

I am actively rooting against a lot of teams. I think Washington and SDSU are both beatable to get in there.

Actually, I just saw on the Sportscenter ticker that Rhode Island would be the last team in right now jumping over Ole Miss who lost today.

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread

Hate to see the XU-UD game have some controversy at the end of the game like that but X played a great 4th quarter and UD really toned it down over that same time period. Dumb play by Lowry right in front of the official like that to get T'ed up. Questionable move by Holloway to even slap at the ball while Lowry was calling a timeout but it caused Lowry to react. X moves on with a 78-73 win. They need to play better tomorrow though.

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread

Rhody is completely screwed. Getting dominated by Temple and Houston just stole a bid away from the Bubble teams.

Re: The Atlantic 10 Thread

34-17 Temple at the half, Rhody missing bunnies all over the damn court. Rhody shooting a steaming 25% from the field.

Shockingly, this team is once again choking a tourney bid away. Friggin Baron.
