Re: 2022 BCS Rankings

CFP Committee ranked two teams in their top 25 that are not in the BCS Top 25...

#22 UCF (#27 in BCS) and #25 Louisville (#38 in BCS).

I really don't get the inclusion of Louisville in the Top 25 considering they have a total of 14 votes between both polls and they rank #27 (A&H), #41 (Billingsley), #30 (Colley), #33 (Massey), #24 (Sagarin), and #31 (Wolfe) in the six computer polls.

Re: 2022 BCS Rankings

NC State is the only team that the CFP Committee ranked in their top 25 that is not ranked in the BCS top 25. NC State is ranked 28th in the BCS standings.

The BCS and the CFP have agreed on the top four teams since the inception of the playoff. This could potentially be the first year that doesn't happen, especially if insanity ensues during Conference Championship week.

Right now in the BCS, Ohio State is barely ahead of USC for the fourth and final spot. I do believe that if USC wins the Pac-12 title, they will jump Ohio State in the BCS standings with the Buckeyes being idle this week.

But if Conference Championship week turns into a college football meme, it could be very interesting to see what happens.

Next Five

#26 - North Carolina (0.0290)
#27 - NC State (0.0256)
#28 - UCF (0.0170)
#29 - Fresno State (0.0134)
#30 - Oklahoma (0.0133)

Dropped Out

#24 UCF (Now #28)
#25 North Carolina (Now #26)

In the nine seasons of the College Football Playoff, the BCS would've picked the same four teams as the CFP committee. Ohio State does jump TCU compared to the committee by the slimmest of margins, with the human polls splitting the two teams and the computers liking Ohio State more than TCU.
