Stars don't mean you will be successful in Jimbo's offense. Even though he finally gave the play calling up, the offense still looked similar to the offense he normally runs. His offense doesn't work without a great QB.

He really hasn't been that great since 2014. He's lost at least 3 games every season since then (minus the covid season). He hasn't been able to get a QB to be successful running his offense.

It's still Jumbo's offense, Petrino is just calling the plays now. Weigman actually impressed me yesterday. I think A&M's offense will be good moving forward if they don't implode as a team.

Their bigger issue, and I even felt this last year, may be with Durkin. A&M took a huge step back going from Elko to Durkin.
