Week 5 Discussion

A bit of a letdown after all the marquee games last week, but still have some good games:

Utah vs. Oregon State (on right now)
Texas vs. Kansas
Notre Dame vs. Duke
LSU vs. Ole Miss

Can Colorado regain some magic against USC?
Georgia will probably beat up Auburn, but it's still a fun rivalry game.

Re: Week 5 Discussion

the NCST guy was blatantly blocked into the punter, terrible call, AND waited like 5 seconds to throw it??

And the punter fistpumping and celebrating like he had anything to do with anything is sad

Re: Week 5 Discussion

If someone was looking for great QB play in a college football game.... I sure hope they didn't watch Louisville vs NC State. Yikes.

Re: Week 5 Discussion

It wasn’t pretty but Louisville found a way to win and get to 5-0.

Next up a Saturday night game with Notre Dame in front of a sellout crowd

This rivalry has really turned upside down. There was a point like 10 years ago where the teams were separated by just 1 or 2 wins in the all-time series, and the total point different was like 4 points.

Now, Georgia is 8-2 in the last 10 and has outscored Auburn by 134 points over that spread.

Going into the season I had 0 concerns about this game. Now...I'm just glad that Auburn does not have a good QB. Georgia has come out flat in the 1st quarter against 4 vastly inferior opponents. South Carolina is the only team who has had a roster remotely resembling the talent that Georgia has, and they had the lead from the opening drive until about half way through the 3rd quarter. This cupcake schedule shouldn't have given me any concerns, but uncharacteristic holes in the defense, suspect QB play, and an offensive a new OC who is in love with screen passes, on top of a bunch of injuries...it all leads to the likelihood that one of these teams is going to upset Georgia at some point.

Re: Week 5 Discussion

Happy for Tovarich and Oregon State, but Utah fans have to be sick about the "what if" of the 2023 season if Rising was healthy.

Re: Week 5 Discussion

There's DJ finally, throwing a dumb interception. He looked nice piling up stats against San Jose State and Cal Davis. Since then, under 50%, and more picks than TD's.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.
