While I think this is stupid, I hope Michigan fans aren't naive enough to think that Michigan fans weren't near as bad during the Cooper years. In fact, I'd say why the rivalry is so heated now, a lot of Buckeye fans couldn't stand getting trounced (I think Desmond Howard is still running around somewhere) and hearing local Michigan fans hate on us for over a decade.

However, there is a line. A lot of fans, the ones that I and many others like to term the "Bucknuts" are just out of touch with reality. These are the same people who claim Little Animal the greatest linebacker ever and Troy Smith the greatest QB of all time. It's unfortunate, but it's bound to happen with one of the biggest universities in the US.

Ohio State is the Northern version of Texas. Lots of ignorant fans who just love their football team and disregard everyone else.

Why is this so classless? I am a Michigan season ticket holder and even I had to laugh. There is nothing wrong with some good ribbing between the best rivalry in the sport. Not too mentin it was a group of fans and not the University directly.


Live it up while you can, I know I was sure loving the Cooper years.

Thats the spirit! It is a RIVALRY! You don't like them, they don't like you. It is special. Hell when I read the "Texas effort" stickers given to 0U players for not practicing/lifting up to 0U standards, I cracked up! That was nice.
