I doubt some of today's players could play well against team from the early 1900s. How would today's players do without facemasks, and without the forward pass?

1894 Yale - 16-0, best team ever.

more modern, 1995 Nebraska.

95 Nebraska for sure. Although 01 Miami can be argued as well.

2001 Miami, no doubt in my mind. They're the closest thing we'll ever have to an NFL-like team in college.

Only weakness on that team was Larry Coker.

01 Miami.

I mean really, just look at the roster. I used to think it was a toss up with 95' Nebraska but their talent wasn't anywhere close to that Miami team.

Willis McGahee
Najeh Davenport
Andre Johnson
Antrel Rolle
Ed Reed
Sean Taylor
Clinton Portis
Phillip Buchanon
Frank Gore
Vince Wilfork
Kellen Winslow
Roscoe Parrish
Jeremy Shockey

1971 Nebraska

c'mon how can you doubt a team that averaged 38.6 ppg and only allowed something like 6 ppg?
