I actually do think UCONN will lose, but your right the 95% part is what I was pointing out as being ridiculous and for some reason people were disagreeing with that even though that it is crazy.

Like I said before the match ups in this game lead me to believe me that Michigan will win this game. Not to mention I expect the first game in front of home crowd to give Michigan a little extra in terms of their energy and effort. I would also expect that simply because the players know they have alot to prove and are probably sick and tired of hearing or reading all the negative things that have been said about the program. To the odds makers at least Michigan is the slight favorite in this game as well.

I just find it funny so many people in this thread assume what Michigan will be this season based solely on the last two seasons. I don't know if you guys realize it, but teams do have the opportunity to improve year to year especially when they are a team that had as many younger players as Michigan did last year.

And really I don't care what Gameday says about UCONN, they are a solid team nothing more nothing less. I wouldn't expect them to win the Big East this season. If they pull that off though with a subpar to average qb, subpar to average wr's and a highly questionable secondary than they deserve a lot of credit. I think if they did that would say a whole lot about the state of the Big East in terms of it not being that good.

Edit: And like I said in a previous post, the other site I read the 95% thing on, there were other examples showing why this "simulation" was lacking credible as well. I think somebody plugged in different matchups that had already happened and needless to say the majority did not come out to the outcome that had actually happened in terms of who won the game or the score. If a "simulation" can't accurately predict past games a good percentage of the time I don't see how it has any credible for future games.

Nothing like the college football forum where homers completely derail threads.

No one said Michigan can't improve. But UCONN can improve too. I do think Michigan will improve this year, same with UCONN. I believe UCONN is the better team and will beat Michigan. I was being sarcastic with my 99% comment as that is ridiculous, I don't care about percentages.

UConn beating Michigan 95% of the time is definitely ridiculous. Vegas usually has it about right on, and they have Michigan winning by 3. That is hardly UConn winning 95% of the time.

As far as the simulation goes, it looks flawed in some parts, and believable in others. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bama and Ohio State in the National Championship.

Actually Vegas sets the odds to get people to bet, then adjust the line to represent what the people are betting. It would not surprise me to see that game ending up being a Pick em.
