Also FWIW my two cents, the "guy" I would want if I couldn't get Herman was the one you already named, Watson, and that would be Narduzzi. Guy is one of the best kept secrets in all of CFB.

Maybe not a dumptruck, but we offered him more than he signed for with A&M.

I believe that he said he didn't want it and was even offered the job after Phil was canned. He was offered again after Kiffin left and they made Coach Brown the interim.
