Yep, college football has always been a sport with a clear separation between the top few teams and even just that next group of really really good teams.

They just talked about it on the broadcast. Georgia has recruited 20 5*'s in the last 4 years, Michigan has 3.

Cincinnati has NFL talent. Alabama has more.


I did think that Michigan had a shot in this game, but the result also shouldn't be that surprising. The talent differential mentioned above was always going to be an uphill battle for them, and it was just a bad matchup for Michigan's offense. Sure they have a really good run game, but Georgia is never without NFL talent in their front 7 no matter where they are in their rotations.

Yeah, I just feel like the Big 10 very badly needs Ohio State in these games. The only other Big Ten teams to have made it to the playoffs have both been humiliated by the SEC.
