Also a good point SoMiss... it's not forced upon you with the 360.. but I'm not knocking the PS3 either for doing it that way. It's all up to the consumer, what you're into "gaming" for, and what you're looking for out of a machine.

I'm not biased either, I have both, lol.

And I think thats the huge difference between PS3 and 360....PS3 forces you to pay the higher price for Blue-ray, but 360 allows you to choose HD-DVD.

But if I really wanted high def DVD's and online gaming, it would be cheaper for me to get a PS3, because with the 360 I'd get the add-on plus the wireless adapter that I would have to buy. Plus the costs of Xbox live.

Out of respect for online gaming, XBLive is a far superior setup, so it's well worth the cost

Right now, due to the PS3 BD movies are outselling HD-DVD 3.5:1, which I had read over at AVSForums.

I can't remember, but do you own the PS3?

No i dont, i am speaking about that it was greatly outsold by the Wii, and it dealt with som significant underproduction issues initially.

And i worked in a best buy over christmas and the consumer consensus that i observed didnt seem to excited about the PS3. I remember them having like 50 PS3s the week before christmas and still having like 25 the week after. Where as the Wii was gone at all times people were still camping out for it.

why do you think the Ebayers werent making any money of them their demand wasnt nearly as high as anticipated. All that plus the logical issues that happen with a mass launch of a game system.

Thats what I hear, and I tend to agree. I'm just talking about pure cost.

Re: I don't have either system (Xbox 360 or PS3)....

I have xbox live and dont even use it other than to update my 360 or my rosters. I dont like playing online because of a couple reasons:#1:I suck and get crushed. #2:Most people use language that I just cant talerate. #3:I hate trash talkers. So the PSN maybe all someone like myself needs.
