Update:

I wasn't happy about just receiving a prepd XBL card, so, I contacted a manager. I was hoping for a new 360, however; she wanted to make it clear that they are a repair center only, they have no way of sending a new unit out the door. I tried to call her bluff on this one, as I've seen others post here thinking they have a new one. She said, no way, no how.

I asked if I could talk to someone higher up the chain. She said she was it, that I could talk to other supervisors at the same level as her. So, I said, Bill Gates won't even take my call, he doesn't want to hear the bad luck I've been having.

I started to grasp at anything, and finally, I said, isn't their anything you can do to sweeten the pot? Finally, she said, you know, your right, I'm going to pull together all my resources and give you a call same time tomorrow.

So, what's behind door number 1?

A new 360? or some MS games?

They lie, I got a new 360. Well the date was December 26th 2006 and I received it on January 15th or so. I don't see how that could have been bought, played, returned, repaired and mailed to me all in 2 weeks. Doesn't really seem possible.

Also, I am with fishepa, you won't get called tomorrow I'll bet.

Damn.....I must be extremely lucky,I'm still on my first 360...with no major problems,other than the occasional freeze. The only game that has ever given me any freeze problems is ncaa 08....and that's only been twice.
I was having problems with just cause....but after doing the "clear cache holding the a button" I haven't had any more problems.

I've never had an overheating issue,never had a game scratched...or any other problems. My console has a mfg date of 3-10-06....I picked it up late April..the 29th iirc...so I've had it for some time now (compared to alot of folks,that have already had problems).

Maybe I got one from the "good batch"

I was in the exact same category as you are...until about 2 weeks ago. It can happen at anytime. Hope you are the exception.

I agree with Odogg and you, I don't believe I will receive a call, either. I will be surprised if I do.

wake up folks all 360 are going to have this problem,my 360 lasted 6 months.
