360 Problems, discuss them here

Three months ago, my 360 got the dreaded red lights. Twice.

I gave up on it and packed it away.

Bioshock came out...so i thought "why not" give it another try. Game played fine for a few minutes and then the red lights.

15 minutes later...the red lights again.

I came very close to chucking it in the garbage bin. (I'm living in asia at the moment and cannot return / fix my 360)

Next day...I gave it "one last chance" and it played fine.

A week on and I've played Bioshock for a few hours every night and a tonne of demos and had no problems at all.

I've been reluctant to post this as I fear jinxing myself

Seems weird...works fine now after "dying" multiple times.

I own a PS3 also. Whenever games are available for both systems, I am buying the PS3 version obviously as I can do without the stress that the 360 is going to break at any moment...especially with NBA 2K8 due out soon.

Agreed, if its failed once, it will fail again. Just a matter of time unfortunately.

Yeah...I am just hoping I can get through Bioshock.

NBA 2K8 etc I am buying for the PS3.

The 360 is a nice machine...but MS really has lost me as a consumer.

Well my 360 should begin its journey home today. I swear to god if they send me another defective system it will be lawsuit time to get my money back. I love my chances in Small Claims Court in this county.

I did receive a call while I was out. Pulling all her resources together, we receive a random free game chosen by MS, of course.

I did ask the lady that I spoke to yesterday and she did tell me every employee received an email yesterday explaining none of the repair centers had any new 360's on the shelves. She did say if they had new 360's on the shelves 6 months ago or so, some people would receive new 360's.

So, just because they don't have any new 360's at the repair center at this time, I'm SOL. Sounds like it's all about timing.
